No matter how good it feels when he says all he wants in the world is me. The last person I need to go breaking all my rules for is the cocky, spoiled brat who used to sleep in the room across the hall.

The last person I need to get mixed up with is someone on that list. By His Rules, Wacky Wednesday, The Good Boy, The Subs Club (only book one in The Subs Club series is DD) Cin Forrester's Off Limits series is another good one. Working out the Kinks, Snowed in with Benefits, Old School Discipline, Hot Mess are a few. Who know just how ugly I really am deep down. Misha Horne has a lot of books like this. All the people I can never look in the eye again. At least, I thought I was.Īnother thing I don’t do is think about the past. I’m perfectly happy being a dive bar rock star who can barely pay his rent, chasing the dream until my time or my sanity runs out. I know where those things can get you, and it’s not anywhere I need to go. And I never look twice at a guy who has a bigger bank account than I do. I don’t take something just because I want it. These days, I stick to three basic rules. That’s a whole lot of hassle I don’t need. Watching my mom break hearts and empty bank accounts as we bounced from house to house taught me just how dangerous feelings could be. Easy to fake, maximum payout, and people just never stop falling for it. I learned early on that pretty much everything in life is a scam, and love’s at the top of the list. Ik that if a real human person acted like this than it would be extremely off putting, cringe-worthy, and frightening but I love the ~fantasy~ of it.Mistakes aren’t supposed to feel this good… If it gives you an indication of who I am as a person and what I’m looking for, my childhood crushes were Aaron Warner (when ‘shatter me’ was the only book out), the darkling from shadow and bone, and pretty much any YA villain that kidnaps the heroine. Bree’s ‘broken bonds’ -Calvin from Sam Mariano’a ‘descent’ -Bax from Misha Horne’s ‘old school discipline’ -Graham from Korey Mae Johnson’s ‘his untamed mate’ Lane Hs, especially the ones from her controllers series -Nix from Stasia Black’s ‘their’s to protect’ -North from J. Some Hs I love (many of these start great and get softer at the end, which is not my fave) additional bonus points for spanking! -RH and any gender combination is a-okay (Mf, Ff, Mm, MfM, MfF, MMf etc) -dubcon, noncon, omegaverse, dark romances are all good as well -I don’t lean towards overt bdsm romance, but I’m open to it if it fits! know their rule is law expect to be obeyed (idk about irl relationship health, I want a stern and unyielding H, even if it’s ‘unfair’ to the h!) -clearly care about the h but maybe value their health safety over their happiness at times -could possibly be described as strict, severe, gruff, dominant/domineering, authoritative, undemocratic Aka H’s that rule over the h with an iron fist 😌 Bonus points for being in the context of a patriarchal/dystopian society.
